The Spokane Potters Guild is a non profit teaching studio. We offer Pottery Classes on a quarterly schedule. Please stay tuned for more information about our smaller summer schedule. After taking a class you will be eligible to use the Open Studio schedule, please click below if you are already a member.

You must take an 8 week class from SPG in order to take advantage of our facility.
Our classes are offered on a quarterly schedule, like a school. With the summer modified with limited or no classes.
*OUR NEXT REGISTRATION DATE IS AUGUST 8TH FOR CLASSES THAT BEGIN THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 11TH!
*Our classes are 8 weeks, once a week for 2 hours of instruction.
*Using the studio outside of class is encouraged, and all students can use the Open Studio schedule.
*You must attend 6 out of 8 classes to qualify to use our Open studio system.
*Classes are $185.00, which includes the class instruction, One 25 lb. bag of clay, and firing of items made during class
*Annual membership here at SPG is $60 per year and entitles the person to vote on member issues, join the board (if interested), and $5 off each bag of NEW clay purchased at SPG.
*Open Studio membership is $35 per month, and entitles the member to use the studio to make, trim, and glaze pieces made with SPG clay. The monthly OS does not have to be purchased consecutively, but must be paid on the first day you use the studio during any given month.
Only items made with SPG clay by students and open studio members, can be fired at our studio. We do not sell space in our kilns.
SPG is a 401(c)3 non-profit studio. We have no paid staff.
All monitors, teachers, janitorial work, etc., are staffed by volunteers.
Only current students and Open Studio Participants can attend the workshops offered by SPG. An OS participant is defined by having taken an 8 week class within the last 2 years, or using the studio within the last 2 years after having taken a class. Please contact us if you are unsure if you qualify!
We offer clay for sale to our students and Open Studio Participants, but we do not sell supplies as a retail store. Please visit our local pottery supply store - The Clay Connection for your supply needs!
