Our Mission

To promote the general knowledge of the ceramic arts by contributing to the artistic, educational and cultural awareness of the community.  To provide a supportive organization and facility for non-production ceramic artists of all skill levels.  A place where they can network with each other in order to broaden skills

Our Story

We are a non-profit, volunteer based organization that had its beginnings in 1977 as part of the Spokane YWCA.  With some of its founding members still part of the guild, SPG has maintained a consistent mission and commitment to serving as an art forum resource to the community.  We have had artists and instructors with works displayed in galleries throughout the Northwest states.

Our Process

SPG relies on volunteers who have an interest in and appreciation for what the guild offers.  We offer 8 week classes for adults 18 year and older,  in general ceramics on a quarterly basis  and an open studio experience for artists to share skills and knowledge about anything  pertaining to ceramics.  We fund our studio with membership fees, class tuition, fund raisers and donations.
